Precision Rugby 15s Edition – 2016-17 English League

A historic season for Exeter as they became English champions for the first time as they defeated Coventry W in the final in extra time, where following tying the game in the final minute of regular time, Gareth Steenson booted a penalty to win the game 23-20.

This season would also be the first where London S would be found in 2019 to have violated the salary cap, which would eventually end in their forced relegation the following year. They were beaten by a late try in the semi-final to Exeter, whilst Leicester suffered a similar fate against Coventry W. Bristol ended up with just three wins and were relegated a season after being promoted.
